Paste Wax?

Those that know me and "Juliette" know I like her looking her best at any given time but I feel I could do more.

The general big cleans are rinse, ph neutral shampoo (2 bucket style), rinse, shampoo, rinse, clay bar, polish with Dodo lime prime, polish with meguiars mirror finish, layer of Collinite wax, 2 layers of Dodo purple haze and a final wet look of tropical mist (phew).

However, there seems to be a lot of talk about paste wax. In theory it'll enhance the final wet look but has anyone actually tried it?

It turns out I'm an idiot.

The paste waxes seem to declare themselves as easy on, easy off. Deep wet look finish. I couldn't see what benefit that had over the dodo haze. The reason I couldn't see an advantage is that the Dodo Purple Haze, IS a paste wax. If I pop the collinite on first, the main effect that my haze has, is to enhance the clear coat of the colinite. Next time round, I'll ignore the collinite, just use the dodo - should get a better effect.

Oops.

I've just looked at the sealing option. The problem I have is the car is generally coated with sponsor vinyls (although less so this year) so that'll have to wait until she's naked again.

Chris.
