Guest pmiddy
ok so was bored at work searching for bits and pieces on the web and i found one of my cars brothers!!! the woman who originally bought the car new told me she had had it imported and that they didn't make any in this colour for the Uk. well this guy says that this one was imported from germany! Although he says his is inca but on the original bill of sale for my car it says 'oatmeal'. the original owner also said mine came with an 'oatmeal coloured roof' too, to match the car. i'm hoping to meet with her soon as she has loads of history photos etc. her dad worked for ford and had 2 imported, one for her and one for her twin sister for their 21st birthday present slowly but surely i am tracking down the history of my car! lol i will get to the bottom of it one day! proves that it wasn't an inca over flint that someone has just sprayed gold all over (as some had suggested) there can't be many left in this colour now! would love to find out how many were made origanally!! would also love to know who bought this one and where it is now! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-FORD-ESCORT-XR3i-SE-CABRIOLET-CONVERTIBLE-GOLD-/300583322737

Guest pmiddy
i have sent the original owner another letter asking her if i can meet up with her to see the full story, it may even be that the one in the advert was the one her sister had! lol just need to find out more before i spend anymore money as i want it to be back to completely original. i need to find out what it looked like when it was completely original first! what extras it had etc etc. the roof has gotta be first, as i said it used to have an oatmeal coloured roof. the only reason i can think of for it to be right hand drive is that made some for Ireland or channel islands? i will have to find out more from the original onwer first before i go any further! lol
