Dodo Juice Up For Grabs (Again)

Hi guys, as you may or may not know, in April 2011, we took a cheap Escort cabriolet across Europe and survived. We raised a lot of cash for charity and had a chuckle at the same time.

Well, once again we're hitting the roads in May 2012 so it's scrounge time again. For full details of the run, and to donate, visit www.roguerun.co.uk

The lovely guys at Dodo Juice gave us a care package last year and once again, they're showing not only do they have quality car care stuff, but they have a heart too and have donated another car care package to us. The details of what's included will be put on here once I know what's in it.

Not only that, but Voltz are sponsoring us again so a few cases of the lovely low calorie energy drink are on route to me.

Why am I telling you this? Because we want to give it away like we did last year. For every £2 donation made through www.roguerun.co.uk we will allocate a raffle ticket. Multiples of £2 count so £10 donation = 5 tickets.

Please make sure if you donate to include ECC somewhere so that I can get hold of you to get any prizes to you.

Last year, Marine Iguana won the DodoJuice from here, so good luck all, could be another cabby club member.

Apart from making you feel good, donations help the Jennifer Trust (details on site), get you a chance to win stuff, and support some cabbies (2x5b's going) and we will look like plonkers if we don't actually raise any money.

A car smells sooooo nice after a bit of the Dodo love .

Juliette the cabby is not running either at the mo, heater matrix gone, electrics all wrong, suspension shot and a handful of other issues, but she WILL be fixed in time . I need to take her down the Autobahns to see what the top end is now.

Bit of a bump and an update for you.

The donations deadline to win the Dodo and Voltz goodies is now Midnight 2nd May - We'll be doing the draw on the ferry on the way out to France.

Please remember if you donate to include Esc cabby club or similar in the comments box when you donate so I know who to contact if you win stuff.

Keep your eyes out for Performance Ford Magazine as they're doing a bit in their news section in next couple of issues about it.

If you have a VW Transporter, then "VW Bus T4 & 5" mag are doing an article on it too.

We have a Facebook page running, so please feel free to have a look and throw some comments in. Search Facebook for "The Rogue Run"

Also worth noting is that I'm taking a new co-driver from last year... Jack Tar (the guy who helped out with your new banners ^^) is helping me smash the miles in.

We've also got the new owners of my old 5b 1.8 Si 130 cabby "HoboJo" coming along, so a second cab si doing the run too.

For your chance to show a bit of support, please visit www.roguerun.co.uk, follow the link to donate and pop some cash in for charity.

Bit of a nudge, a sexy offer and a thanks...

First off, this is a little bit of a nudge to remind you what we're up to. Myself, Jack Tar and a batch of other folk that you don't know are driving a couple of 5b cabbys and a few lesser cars some insane miles to raise money for The Jennifer Trust. Day 1-Dunkirk to Monaco, Day2-bit of Alps fun via Marinello then off to Austria. Day 3, Bit of a 2nd world war tour in Germany, Day 4, Amsterdam, Day 5 - Home.

All the details can be found on the website we've set up - http://www.roguerun.co.uk or a lighter view at the blog linked to it... http://www.roguerun.blogspot.com There is also a Facebook group - Search FB for "The Rogue Run". As we're modern down with the kids trendies, we also have twitter @theroguerun There are links to donate on the blog and on the website. As mentioned before, DodoJuice kit and Voltz Energy shots up for grabs.

We've teamed up with http://www.good-girl-gone-bad.co.uk and they are offering free postage AND 15% off if you use our exclusive code "ROGUE12" at the checkout. Good Girl Gone Bad specialise in Sexy lingerie, clothing and "accessories". Apparantly Bondage tape is quite good for those temporary repair jobs and I think there are plenty of premium lubes and oils etc...

Thanks to those that have donated time and money to this project.

Having swapped a few mails with Paul, it does look like the cabby club logo will be making a sizeable appearance on at least one of the cars.

Think thats it for the moment, but if you want to cover our cars with logo's etc, cover the cost of the printing (or supply them yourself) and throw a couple quid in the pot and we'll take your stickies across Europe with us.

For those of you that are impressed by such things, we got "tweeted" by Daniel Whiston to over 24,000 of his followers (something to do with dancing on ice) and Claire Powell to 148,000 today, so we're getting a lot of hits on the blog and website currently for those wanting to advertise and reach masses.

So thank you to those that have or will or thinking of donating, cheap sexy kit for the womenfolk, and follow us to Europe.

Sorry Paul, I completely forgot to email you the mock up, I'm on the phone at the mo, I'll get something across to you this arvo.

Allen, thank you very much mate, not that many contributors so far this year, so you're in with a pretty good shot of stocking up the cleaning products cupboard - I'm not doing the draw or you might be in with an even better shot lol.

And another great reason to donate...

www.AWMautoservices.co.uk has generously offered up 2 x FREE major services to go into our prize draw. For the sake of a £2 donation, not only can you win car cleaning products or energy drinks, but a full service for your car worth roughly £150 each. Only vehicles up to 2,000 cc, but it is a major stamp in your service history book and service light reset. Even if you don't live locally to him (Colchester), it's a lovely day out and I'm pretty sure if you pop the prize onto eBay it'll get you a few quid.

Also, if you live that way, if you need any other work doing, mention Rogue Run and he'll give you a much better price than a standard customer  Probably.
