gingergman Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 going to swap the front screen on me mk4, will be using a new rubber, will that be fine or will i need to use a sealer aswell? all the cabs ive stripped have just the rubber seal and no sealer, so do i need it? RScab Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 New Seal should be Fine Stu Make sure the screen frame is clean & free from any rust etc. @ the car plants they used an infrared heat lamp to softern the rubbers before they fit them easier to fit and helps get a better seal specially when its a bit cold.
