Guest PhilKing Posted July 19, 2011 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Hi there Guys n Gals, I've bought a working Ford 2007 model radio cassette to help keep my car as original as poss, it was a straight plug in so I did but all that happens is the LCD display lights up (if the key is in or not), ive checked the fuse at the back of the unit an its fine but i must admit im hating having no radio working inn the car....Please help lol! allblue Posted July 19, 2011 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Is you car a mk4? How did you plug the speaker wires into the head unit? The 2007 radios fitted to mk4's do not have the amplifier circutry built in, that part is either in the seperate amp or graphic equaliser. Guest PhilKing Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 I just plugged the 2 leads in the back and then the arial, but its not even powering up......but i only paid £1 for the radio so i havent lost anything, does anyone else have a standard Ford radio to sell?
