Guest Squidy
Thought id get a project thread started as i plan on doing a bit of work on my wifes motor when its of the road for the winter as it stands now It was used this summer for my brothers wedding to ferry the bridemaids about Ive already completed alot of work since we bought it last year for £150 ,Ive not touched the body work as yet but have done all the main serviceable bits so all brake parts have been replaced for new as has all suspension & steering components+bushes been replaced for new, also all wheel bearings replaced, new starter + altenator, fuel pump Right plans over the winter include Replacing the bonnet,n/s door and bootlid colour coded wing mirrors RS Turbo skirts and arches(not 100% on this yet as im not keen on drilling all them holes?)maybe if i can get a pair i`ll fit the standard short arch skirts replace gearbox and clutch strip engine bay to clean, paint and polish all parts the only reason the boot lid is being replaced is because my wife wanted a spolier fitted and i got given a saff cossie spoiler so i decided to get a spare boot and get that and the spolier painted and swapped over then if she doesnt like it i can swap it back to the original boot, already made a start on it this weekend and got the spoiler fitted and removed again so all the holes are drilled before i take them to the workshop and spray them also have the replacement gearbox cleaned and ready for fitting more updates to come as i get things ready

Guest Squidy
Blimey cant belive its been a year since the last update, well currently the car is off the road as we thought with the way the weathers been this year we would leave it untaxed ,not much has happened with the car until recently due to other commitments and running 3 other cars, but after i finally managed to get my wife to Ford Fair this year shes been obsessed with it again which is great but means im getting the washing up lol! instead of reading fifty shades oif grey shes ready a haynes manual,so armed with spanner she set to dismantleing the inlet manifold on he cab as this is one of the last major pieces to be stripped and cleaned in the bay and yes she did all the work herself(every ford fans perfect wife!)anyhoo the pics speak for them selves. Shes still got various bits and pieces to clean but nothing major which will all be done ready for next years show season
