Guest corrie Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 hey guys how hard is it to find a fuse box for a 1991 mk5 fuse box, i think it would be easier to find rocking horses poo. i bet the fuse box is the main reason we hardly see any mk5s about. so now seems to be the time to scrap the car as much as it is so hard to do but as i cant sell it as it is and i cant find a new fuse box i have decided im going to weigh it in and cut my losses as the car has just been a total waste of time this year. so im gona put a wanted in the spares section and if no one comes up with a fuse box cheap enough then its bye bye car. and a few people will say why dont you break it up and the answer is i live in a nice area and breaking a car is just not the done thing. allblue Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 If you do find out there is always the danger that it too may be faulty. However the good news is they can be repaired fairly easily. See my tutorial on MK6 escort fusbox repair fun. If you have a soldering iron and some solder it's free of charge to do. Did mine three years ago when it started playing up.
