Hi All Im A Newbie Looking For Some Help

Hi all im new to this site, i am looking for some help and advice if possible. I recently brought a mfi rs engine and would like to put it in a mfi xr3i cabby. all in all i have the engine minus an alternator, a mfi rs loom, inter-cooler. i know i need a lsd box and a rs rad. any one know of anything else? also do i need an amal valve or can i get around this some how? does any one know of a tutorial or walk through any one has made doing a project like this.

i have done 1 or 2 of these over the years but to start you have picked a good base to start from as you wont need to swap the tank and fuel lines all the work you will do is in the engine bay and running the loom through the car.

 

Best thing to do is remove the engine and box then take out the dashboard and remove the full car loom.

 

then refit the rs loom through the car into the enginebay then refit the engine you can fit a lsd gearbox but its not essential once back in go round plugging everything back in.

 

then the rest is pretty staright forward, fitting radiators, intercoolers, pipework, word for the wise fit the turbo then the rad+int. as its a rite bugger to get it on with the rad+int inplace.

 

sure someone else will come along thats done it more recent than me, with more upto date info?

hello m8 im in the middle of doing the same thing m8 but my cabby was an efi and ive had to replace every think loom tank fuel lines the complete lot pain in the arse but worth it ive re built the engine replacing everythink the joys this is prob the 8th time ive done the turbo engines but there are loads off peeps on the site that have done it :banana_dance:
