Guest dave29 Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 hi guys. ive just fitted my new front unchoped up speaker pods in the front and what a t$%t they where to fit but i need to sort the rear ones out as the previous owner has chopped them up to fit speakers in where as i want to hide the speakers behind the grill........ any ideas how i can hide them as i dont want the speakers showing. gingergman Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 use the standard size speaker for them, if you get good ones they go just as loud and dont look chav as you cant hear them. go halfords where you can try all the speakers out on the set ups they have, then look on tinternet for them as they should be cheaper! Guest dave29 Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 that acoustic carpet is good for covering rear pods, look at ollies restoration thread as i believe he done his and are posted there, and allen, marineiguana's topic in the same part of the forum, he done his pods aswell. i,ll have a look.had another idea of flush fitting the speaker rings of the new speakers into the pods by cutting the hole out and glueing/fibreglassing them in from behind but id want the rings to have minimum detail so they where as close to standard as i could get. or............ lol. making a pair of the rear pods from fibreglass and drilling some holes in from the sound to come through..........that might look cack though lol.
