hello

need some help please

i have fitted motors to both doors in my mk3 the c/l motors ...bearing in mind its delocked too

r/y 12+ is this permanent live or switch ?

brown earth

yellow ?

white ?

these have come from a mk4 cabby so i have been told i dont need separate relays

which wires do i need to connect up to the main wiring loom then i can deal with my alarm system not sure which one i am fitting yet the moss or scorpion

from what i remember, the yellow and white go to the control unit as they tell each unit what to do but im sure that you can connect them together, (yell to yell and white to white) then permanant pos and neg (use inline fuse).

if your fitting alarm you need to see what signal the yell and white give out (think its a pos) for the type of alarm output to connect to them , hope this helps

correction to my comment... dont think mk4 have a unit, i think there called the intelligent locking system, each motor controls the others, as said above connect all same colours together and then a pos and neg permanant feed to the red and black or brown with in line fuse

Ollie, the red/yellow is +12V, the brown is earth (connect to earth point by speakers, not inside the door), the yellow is lock, the white is unlock. Join the red/yellow together and connect to a +12V fused source, the whites together, the yellows together, and the browns to earthing points. They are that simple.
