Guest George f
has anyone got any pic's of a 7inch flip out screen in a mk4 dash? does it clear the air vent's? or do i need to make something up? any help plz
gingergman
i wanted one of these but the screen wont sit upwards fully as it will hit the part of the dash under the vents, you could build it out the dash a bit so it sits further out, but dunno how to do it and keep it looking good and secure

Guest varnie3i
I used to have one in mine and i had to mount it about an 3cm further out than normal due to it hitting the dash. but it still didn't look right, it was to low for my liking so I was going to move the vents to the stereo hole and mount the dvd where they where. I've seen it done that way on another mk4 and it looked miles better. sorry no pics of either.
gingergman
that is a good idea! i was thinking of putting a screen where the cassete holder is, mounting it at the front in a surround, seen it done before and does look the part
