Guest BassFaceXR
A little while ago when everything was working fine the amp used to cut out (due to being too hot) and their on after it used to pop the fuse in the power cable when the volume was turned up but then it stopped doing that when i replaced the fuse but again when i turned the volume up the sub cuts out. Now i thought this was an issue with the amp due to a thermal issue so ive gone out and baught a new one and the same problem was their so i resorted to buying a new wiring kit and guess what? the problems still their! now im not sure if this is a cd player fault or the subwoofers fucked but the subs relatively new and so is the cd player so what the hells going on? please help its driving me nuts i just want my xr3i pumpin! Guest s6boy1979
Hi mate It could be the remote from the head unit, sounds as if it is getting a perm live signal even with the head unit off or it could be a short as in the live from the bat is earthing out somewhere before it gets to the amp. Make sure you jave the remote wired up to the right wire on the head unit
Guest BassFaceXR
ive swapped the power cables over and earthed it in a different area of the boot but still the same problem, the amp wires in the right place as its labeled so its either the cd players doing it or the subwoofer can't go over a certain loudness... one thing i did notice though when i removed the earth the light was flickering dimly to the music so whether thats a common affect or not im not sure.. gingergman
i agree it sounds like the remote cable as thats where the amp gets its signal from, check the iso connector in the back of the head unit, the wire for the remote cable might be iffy or loose
