Guest Gregg
Hi Mondo, I have the same car as John. Escort all white. I would like the 2 front seats redone. The bottom part is in poor condition so the foam will need to be replaced and one of the side top part there is a rip. This is not surprising on a over 20 year old car but it will need to be done some time. Back seems to be ok so that can wait. I would also like to do the door cards in the same white. I believe the seats are reacro seats but xr3i seats. I was wondering of a rough price. I am also thinking of adding "limited edition~all white" on the headrest and door cards. Could you please provide a price with and without logos? Many thanks Gregg
Mondo
Hi Gregg, John mentioned your car to me a couple of weeks ago. I take it your seats are the same as his then - the XR3i Recaro type (but not RS Turbo type)? I can see what sort of replacement foam is available for that style of seats for you. John thought you might want Recaro LS seats putting in in their place instead... I'll get some white leather costed up and get back to you, mate. The difference between the two quotes would probably be about £50 or thereabouts. Si.
Guest Gregg
Thanks for getting back to me. I just want an idea of cost for 2 front seat and door cards. I maybe coming into a little bit of money in the next few months and the seats are the only thing that lets the car down so they really need doing. Out of that money I should be getting I want to know how many to put aside. Yes they are the same as Johns but a lot worse. He is lucky I did swap them around at the last ford fair when he wasn't looking. lol I would like to keep them the same as they are different to the RS ones and I like different. Regarding the logo, can I design my own one or do they need to be pre set ones. I can send you photos of the poor condition if you want. Cheers Gregg
Mondo
If you can send me some photos of the seats, it'll give me an idea of what sort of repair work's involved in getting them back up to scratch for you. As for the scripting: if you want your own design then you'd just need to knock up a decent resolution and size JPEG (the bigger the better!) and it can be worked from there. I'm waiting on my supplier getting back to me with a price for white leather at the moment. My concern is that it could be a different shade to the existing leather so, what I'd do is send you a sample to compare and, if you were happy with the colour match, we'd take it from there. You can email the pictures to me at simonlee@uk2.net Cheers!

gingergman
yeah thats right! i would want front and rear cards doing aswell. you should put up a rough price list, i know its hard to say but a rough idea would answer a few peoples questions and give people an idea, (i know its bucks lol) i am looking at getting mine done for sure tho
Mondo
Ok. Rough guide to prices would be as follows: Front seats: approx. £500.00 Front / rear seats: approx. £800.00 Front / rear seats plus four door cards: approx. £1,000.00 These are guide prices, obviously - other factors such as embroidery, additional interior trim, etc would all have to be taken into consideration before a final price was offered. If anybody is looking for quotes for specific work, feel free to either PM me on here or drop an email to simonlee@uk2.net
