MarineIguana
Right seeing as it has been wet and making sure my battery doesn't go flat I started my cab up and it steams up, So go to switch on the rear screen heater and it trys to kill the engine so something is wrong with it but don't know where to start with it. Guest Cabbytech
When you put the rear heated screen on the revs should drop a little due to the ampere pull required for the heater, i would disconnect one of the wires from the screen first and try it again, if it still tries to kill the engine then there is a wiring fault of some description somewhere, and we will take it from there. MarineIguana
Right so some sort of wiring fault then even with the screen disconnected as it acctually killed the engine had to turn it off didn't fancy a fire
Guest Cabbytech
Your right, thats not good, it shouldnt kill the engine, it should just dip the revs for a few seconds and then recover, are you good with electrics ? the first thing is to check the feed wire is not broken between the car and the hatch and shorting to earth somewhere, find out what fuse feeds it, and the fuse size and then look at the heater switch and find out if there is anything else fed from it,

MarineIguana
found the problem some one has decide that the live feed for the fuel pump should come off the back off that switch idiots that's why it dies when you put it on now gotta see where the wire goes
