Mk4 Mfi Strut Brace .. Any Good??????

hi i would like to help my cabby with the movement on the front scuttle.. would a strut brace on the front help this and also are the mfi & efi brace's the same. please can anyone give me any feedback about this... thanks spenny :smile:

i got hold of a strutbrace and just wanted to know if anyone had fitted these before. wots the best way to fit them.. eg. wheels on or off the ground. any help on this would be great :rolleyes:

i reckon when fitting a strut brace, if its a top one, best to lift it just enough as bring the weight off mate just so any twist in the front of the car etc goes back to where it sits "correctly" then drill through where the holes are with a smaller drill size than the bolts that are going through the brace, so it has something to bight on to mate and as tight a fit bolts as possible on the brace btw just so its tight in them aswell, common sense but some people dont think about it then bye bye idea of tightening it up :sad:

the strut is made By OMP it cost me £70 and its brand new.. just hope it cears up the movement on the front end as you will know a bit of a problem with the cabby's.....

think i will fit it this weekend. if you get one maybe go for one that you can adjust. been told that over the years your front struts will have moved inwards alot so wot you realy want to do is try and push them back out .so an adjustable one will help do this. were as mine will just hold it were it is now.
