Guest inker74 Posted April 24, 2010 Share Posted April 24, 2010 Can anybody help,,,got a i.6 ghia on a p plate,,when engine is ticking over it revs from 1000 to 2000 back down and back up all the time and drops below 1000 and cuts out,when im driving and clutch it at junctions and roundabouts etc it stalls,,,,put in new plugs still the same,,,could it be ecu fault as ive had the battery off a few times,,or maybe fuel filter blockage, or sensors,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any ideas or simulare problems,,,,,,,,,,,cheers guys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Lee81 Posted April 25, 2010 Share Posted April 25, 2010 Yup sounds like idle speed control valve. Try cleaning it first with carb cleaner. Check the wiring also.
