gingergman Posted February 6, 2010 Share Posted February 6, 2010 that dont sound to clever mate, you shouldnt have to cut the car about to fit a diesel, it depends how and where its been cut, you could get some fresh metal welded back in, you keping the same engine or going back to petrol to change the tank again? if your changing the tank again it would be worth knowing if any of the orignal brackets etc have been fooked around with as you dont want it to be a pain fitting a standard petrol tank back on. have you just bort the car then? take some pics if ya can of where its been cut about, be interesting to see and could give better advise weather its worth it of not! Guest mustbecrazycab Posted February 7, 2010 Share Posted February 7, 2010 hi thanks for getting bk to me well ive had car for bt 4 wks ive replaced rear ligts windscreen then decided to take interier out im hoping to put rs turbo in her ive been priced 1500 all in didnt think that was to bad but ive cum across this seating area thats been chopped away and not shore if im wasting time on it il get sum pics of the inside im not sure of the under side though as carnt get her in the air at the moment to get her well again im going to be spending a small fortune the roof is mint though lol thanks spk to u soon mate cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

gingergman Posted February 7, 2010 Share Posted February 7, 2010 fookin hell 12 inches !! if the car needs a fair bit of work anyway without this problem id cut my losses, break it for parts to get some money back (if not make money) keep all the good parts off it and buy a new one for a project, Â i take it the car had no mot when u bort it? as its not exactly safe lol, get a couple of pis up of it where its cut, see if its worth doing, previous owner must of been a right mong and deserves a Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
