Guest Uxb1979
Ok so..........here goes Have new car as of today - Keen to get roof down.........Doesn't work!! when i bought it it had some holes in it either side at the rear (usual wear and tear) so the previous owner has used mastic as a temporary fix over the winter months. Got it home today - took it down and it didn't go all the way so gave it a helping hand. Then after putting it back up it goes to a certain point and then stops but I cannot clip it into place as the right side clips in fine and the left side has a bit of a problem as its not going in at all.............Any ideas?? Just checked the hydraulic fluid and thats low - do you think if i get this the issue is going to be resolved or is there an underlining issue? Just removed mastic as though that might be a problem but still nothing to do with it as far as i know?? Help appreciated! Graham

LeeMcCarthy
If it is the cog there is a roof repair kit on here for sale
Guest Uxb1979
top up the fluid mate if its low, thats prob your problem tbh, if not could be the cog in the motor slipping Cheers mate I've removed the door card for now and undone the three bolts at the back to push the hood forward for now and its managed to clip together but now the bolts are out at the back and don't align with the original holes. (quick fix for now!!) At some point over the next day or so I'll get some fluid and top it up but if not any ideas where the cog is and how i can get to it to look at if its working or not?? gingergman
if it is the cog in the pump you will see its broken, but should just be the fluid mate
Guest Uxb1979
Put the fluid in but its still the same thought i'd strip it right back to see what else might be the problem seeming as the door cards were off anyway and.................the ram on the drivers side was not connected..........connected it up and the ram just snapped on me. I'm thinking that was the problem!! Anyone know where I can get one and is it difficult to change it over when i do manage to lay my hands on one??
