Alternator Which Do I Need ??

i chucked my mfi engine out and put an efi engine in but i took the new starter motor from the old engine and alternator but the alternator is clearly knackered looked on ebay and the one that matches mine is like 130 buy it now the guy states it rare its bosh 80 amp the connections are bolted on but im wondering that due to the engine being change to efi if i needed a different alternator???? of do i have to bite the bullet and buy this one?? here is the link to the one that matches mine at moment taken from the mfi engine

For cabs a 70 amp is fitted as standard, so that 80 amp is more than ample.

 

However, that ebay one is far too expensive. More suited for fussy concours peeps who want that Bosch original look when restoring cars.

 

But any motor factors should be able to source a 70amp suitable for the Mk4 Escort, for much cheaper than £130.
