Guest BrillPhady
I have a 1986 (German built) Escort Cabriolet in excellent condition body and engine very sound, less than 50k on the clock, it's been sat in a garage for years I have taken out the interior to wash, the carpet was too grubby so i binned that but jet washed the seats and they came up a treat. I took it to the mechanic who told me it would cost about 350 to get spick and span and through mot, new breaks and everything. So the question is, is it worth doing up and keeping or shall I sell it for parts? I think it is a shame to break to be honest as it's in such a great condition for the age. Reg is C123 JVW I have no idea how much these models go for but I will need to fit carpet in it and cover the side panels. I think this will cost about 150 so .... is it worth spending 500 quid on the cab?

gingergman
Why what's wrong with the bumbers I have on it? mk3 trying to be a mk4, i dont see why people change them, if you want a mk3 get a mk3 and if you want a mk4 get a mk4 lol
Guest s11pyk
Why what's wrong with the bumbers I have on it? if its got mk4 bumpers on a 3 then personally its not a good look. but the world would be a boring place if we all had the same vision when building a car. get some pics up and lets see it! like i said personally i dont like it. a complete penis that i know had mk4 bumpers on a mk3 and his looked awful. he ruined that poor cabby with his chavvy stick ons, miss matched parts and horrendous graphics down the side. plus he bogged his kit on and it was cracked before he even drove it. anyway that guys a nob so im glad his car was a local laughing stock thats my rant over with

Guest BrillPhady
OK I have hit a brick wall, unless anyone can help. I bought this cab with the current bumbers and wing mirrors etc. I think they are MK4 but I am not entirely sure. To get it through it's MOT I need to replace the farside mirror but I need to know if they are mk3 or 4 ... and then I need to find one. Can anyone help?
