Guest Stally08
Hi everyone my name is lee, i own a mk4 xr3i cab, this was my one and only choice of car to restore and modify, i love fords especially escorts and especially cabs. So far, I have stripped the interior first of, these are the first problems i have encountered so far on the interior, but my main concern of the car so far is the petrol cap, bar fitting a whole new wing anyone have any suggestions about how i can fix this problem? I will try to get some more pictures of the car when i next go down to do some more work, My plans for her is to sound deaden everything, recarpet, then try for some recarcos if not bucket seats. Next is to have a rs turbo conversion. Rs turbo body kit, resprayed in panther black or candy red or even candy green, then a nice suble sound system and just engine the cabby in all its glory. Thanks for reading i'll keep you all posted on the progress

chaz
Welcome to cabbyland mate, there is definetly a replacment panel (petrol cap bit) for the mk 5, but any reputable garage can cut out that rust and weld in new metal.

Guest steelcabby
it wouldn't matter chap, that gromet is only there to drain water from the floor if it leaks inside. it would have to be alot of water anyway...lol
