Afternoon all,

Am after a bit of help, the steering on my mk3 is really heavy, when i first got the car i thought it might have been the 17inch wheels on it, but after changing to a set of 14inch doglegs the steering is still excessively heavy.

I have changed steering rack(new), both track rod ends, wheels, shocks, springs, discs, hubs all bushes, Any ideas?

Dan

my car as you can see in pic is running on clover leaf wheels and my steering is very heavy ... driving along roads aint too bad but when it comes to parking its like working out in the gym plus the turning circ is not very good either never done so many 3 point turns for years! lol

Time to call it a day I can't find anyone locally to even refurbish a steering rack which fails, every 3 years. I only cover 500 miles a year. The original Ford made in Germany lasted 100K however the refurbed ones in England are poor! It's time to call time on an old skool Ford.
