Guest DannyB
Afternoon all, Am after a bit of help, the steering on my mk3 is really heavy, when i first got the car i thought it might have been the 17inch wheels on it, but after changing to a set of 14inch doglegs the steering is still excessively heavy. I have changed steering rack(new), both track rod ends, wheels, shocks, springs, discs, hubs all bushes, Any ideas? Dan

chaz
When I bought mine seven years ago , I also thought it had a steering problem as I could not believe the turning circle was so bad.

Himanshu
Time to call it a day I can't find anyone locally to even refurbish a steering rack which fails, every 3 years. I only cover 500 miles a year. The original Ford made in Germany lasted 100K however the refurbed ones in England are poor! It's time to call time on an old skool Ford.
