I recently aquired a Mk6 5door Lx Escort 1.6 in Panther Black.

2 Owners from new, 98,000 on the clock with a FULL Ford Service History.

Speedo didn't work, car wouldn't start, Alarm constantly activated But the rest of the car wasn't to bad condition.

Currently Sorned and without MOT for the bargain price of £50 !!!

It needed a few things doing to it as it had been stood for 18 months after the elderly gentalman who owned it was invloved in a little incident with a Asian Chap ( He T boned him at a junction !! )

so this is how it currently stands.

It had 4 flat 14 inch Steel wheels so it currently has my Spare 17's on.

More photos due as soon as i clear out the junk from it ( using it as a storage area at the mo )

This is going to be my daily drive while i bring the cabby up to Scratch.

i don't think i can handle all that POWER !!!!!!!!!

May need to take a I.A.M Course just to be sure LMAO

Anyway cleaned it up today, fitted the white dials and steering wheel out of the RS i was breaking, and also fitted the underseat CD changer

Speedo now works, Headlight had a huge stone chip, so i had to change them too, another set fitted and also some headlight protectors just to be sure it doesn't happen again.

Replacement drivers door also fitted, just the back passenger side door to change now and the car wil start to resemble something that would pass a MOT

Been under it too, may need a new Exhaust as it looks like its leaking...

More pics.

Yeah, once this is done, I'm parking the cabby up for a well earned rest.

Visit to the body shop for a general clean up and spray over is the order of the day for TAY....

well it failed on 5 things,

1. Headlight aim to high on the near side

2. Nearside front spring fractured

3. Offside rear tyre showing inner beading

4. Corrosion nearside, suspension mounting

5. Corrosion to nearside rear brake pipe

So basically Ive done already, headlight aim, 2 new tyres, second hand front strut Inc spring, it's having the welding done tomorrow as well as the brake pipe being cleaned.

So all in all not bad for a car that has been stood up for 18 months.

Update as of today.

Fitted the rear spats and also the 17's

Just to match the leather i've fitted a full set of walnut trim including Gear knob ( still to find the handbrake handle and CD player )

Any way thats enough chatter from me here's the pics.
