Guest gazzoouk
Firstly hello to everyone. I am new to this forum and i must say i have been impressed with what i have seen so far. I have just purchased a Mk6 Escort cabby and i love it apart from two annoying problems; 1. The heater fan does not work at all. I have checked the fuse and all is well, any pointers as to what to check next? 2. Drivers side rear quarter glass does not operate from either drivers switch panel or rear passenger switch. All other windows work and again fuse is good. Any ideas? thanks Gaz

Guest gazzoouk
Update, i took the fuse box out (quite simple) and carefully removed the printed circuit board. I then re-soldered all the component connections i could easily get at. I did notice than the copper tracks running to the blower fuse had got slightly brown in colour. I re-fitted the fuse box and hey pressto the blower now works so it looks like a dry joint was the problem. I am still trying to work out the issue with the rear quarter window. I brought a second-hand motor and plugged it into the connector but it did not work. I am assuming that i am not getting power for some reason. Guest eddie
hello mate and welcome to the club your best bet to save time and money with the rear window not working is to pull the connector of and test all the wires with an electrical meter tester to see if they are all doing what there supposed to because it sounds to me like you either got a bad earth or a broken wire mate hope this helps thanks eddie.
