Seems expensive for a brand I have never heard of, if it was ////ALPINE or JBL! then yes, if you want a good deal with quality brands then check out ICE CLEAROUT on eBay, I got a set of JBL! 3 way Components, 350w 6x9's, a Sound Acustics 5 Farad Power Cap and 2x Sound Acustics 1600w amps for £257 in a clearout 18 months ago, propper bargains !!!

Plus, 3000 watts of bass is too much, not a fan of silly bass, I just like a good quality sound, the subs should be there to compliment your tunes, not wreck them, I used to get coments on my ROVER ICE on how clear it was and a good level of bass !!!

i think its too much money...the sub specs dont even state a frequecy response, although it does seem failrly easy to drive...its doesnt say how low it can go.

all powers given are @ 1ohm, a class D amp stable at 1 ohm is not going to be very good quality at this price and would only be good for subwoofer use, but if all you want is boom per pound then I would see if you could go and listen to the system first.

consider something like this http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/p...ts_id/2913.html if your going to spend £300 quid and want it all single brand and matched this will give quality sound from quality components....then you can always ebay the items individually to see if it can be got cheaper

Just wack PA Speakers in there mate - if you want very very very clear sound - go for any good quality PA Speaker - you wont be dissapointed - i made my ears bleed with my set up ( trying it out ) LOL - OH FU** YES its VERY NICE but at the same time there is no distortion what so ever.

Just if you didnt know - PA Speakers are used to power live bands - so basicly if you want a live band in your car go for PA - You will get MINT Base at MINT Leval with claret sound.

you will drown any 6x9 or 7x10 set up with ease lol. It is the extream but hey you only live once lol

You will have to mod and cut and build ect but its all up to you - thats my opinion.

The subs on EBAY .....i agree with the otherguys

surprised to hear you say that..its not only live bands but cheap party discos also use PA equipment, and they have plenty of distortion.

Dont know a lot about this sort of stuff, so probably wrong but isnt most opf the smaller PA stuff (that will fit in a car) active? Im not sure PA amps are built for the stresses and heat of being shut in a boot and and bumped up and down, and doubt the speakers have the same frequency response as good hifi speakers.

always willing to learn tho Rich, can you show us a bit of your setup.

Sandman wot did you go for in the end or are you still looking?

Late reply - i bought my PA speakers a music shop - PA Speakers, Apparently the best they had out 4 years ago, I built a fibreglass frame and also bought tweeters that look like HORNS lol - Trust me the sound is apsalute quality - almost unbeatable - i have no subs as there is no need for them - and i run them off of BLACK MAX amps 1000w each amp.

Jumping about and heat issues in this kind of instalment are not an issue.

Turn it up and watch people turn around half a mile up the road lol.

As i said before i made my ears bleed turning it up on stupid levals - with the windows and doors shut.

my set up is 2 - 12" PA Speakers behind the drivers seat .( PEEVEY i think they are called )

2 - 12" PA Speakers behind the passanger seat

Running down the middle of those 4 speakers set in fibreglass are 4 - 12" x 4" Horns running- ( You dont call thses babys tweeters lol they really are horns )

I run the lot with the amps mentioned above and a 8 Pharad ( i think it is ) Power cap.

All the electrical is in the boot under the parcel shelf on MDF - no problems what so ever.

Again if you buy cheap sh*t - you'll get sh*t - spend big on quality - you get quality.

Also i have never seen anyone even attempt to do what ive done - so i though sod it il be the first lol.

Hope it helps matey.

But to save yourself alot of work building and cutting - just get the usual ICE stuff.TBH I cant even full blast my system, atleast with PA IF I did they wouldnt blow

well done on being the first rich....looking forward to the pics....How is the system powered???? it must draw loads of current!!!!

while I do admire you for doing something different with both car and i.c.e I just cant agree on recommending a pa system in a car.....bus or coach maybe lol....the speakers simply do not have the frequency response of a good hifi quality speaker, horn tweeters (use for wide dispersion of the directional high frequencies when playing to a widespread audience) are not required in a car, although I imagine they look the business as you have described the install.

That said I may change me mind if I ever hear it, but there are reasons why this is not a popular route.

What front end head unit have you got...I hope your giving the amps the best possible signal to work with.

atb
