badger Posted February 20, 2008 Share Posted February 20, 2008 hi peeps well it's nearly time and i'm sorting out the bits i need for my zetec conversion on my mk4 and was wondering what exhaust systems you lot had fitted or seen? i was thinking of getting a zetec 4 branch manifold from ebay and then going to my local powerflo exhaust centre and getting them to make the rest but if theres an easier way i'll look at it. escortcabrioletclub Posted February 21, 2008 Share Posted February 21, 2008 sounds good to me seeing as the zetec breaths better with less back presure then the cvh did i think you heading on the right track me i had standed manifold mated to a rst exshaust so it was straight throught with one box plus its sounded better ,,,,, for some reson the noise level out the zetec seams lower to i think its just the zetec has a lower tone its deeper not the cvh tinynes hope that helps a bit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Escort Cabriolet Club Posted February 22, 2008 Share Posted February 22, 2008 Mine sound(ed) a lot quieter too as the old Back Box was pretty much non-existant and like having no back box but the 3" PECO I have fitted is much better, you can hear the engine through the K&N a lot more, sound(ed) great !!! badger Posted February 25, 2008 Author Share Posted February 25, 2008 spoke to local powerflo people and he quoted me about £400 from manifold back for a custom built stainless system with one backbox and a choice of tail pipe i've found a 4 branch manifold for £200 so for about £600 i can have the whole system .
