Guest RSSeries1
Hi, I am a newbie so be patient with me, I have spent hours trailing the Roof Problems section trying to find an answer but it keep illuding me. My wife has a MK5 Cabriolet, when she brought it the roof fitted fine, over the years however a large gap has appeard in the front and the locking pins dont seem to pull the roof closed propoerly which means you have a gap it leaks and it makes a god awful noise on the motorway. I have tried previously to release the bolts and adjust but the pins dont seem to fit like they are too small or we are missing a seal or something by the front as the windows line up pretty much as they should and the roof is taught. I will get some piccys up tommorow but does anyone have any ideas? Cheers
Vincygav
You can try to adjust the roof locking handle hooks so they extended further, it has a little screw by the side, then you twist the hooks round to extend it.
