Guest benny Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 yeah i know its just the cost involved, it needs to be welded without removin the front wing, the kit will have to come off, and its been moulded in by previous owner, so it will then need a full respray plus new body kit, gonna get out the sandblaster tomorrow and see whats what but its not lookin good! f40 cab Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 hi mate looking at pics be a shame to waste a mk 3, maybe buy new inner wing cut out the bit you need this way you have the shape and holes, weld some rods to middle of new piece so you can hold it in place then push through from inner wheel arch side. holding it in place with rods spot weld it in place , as long as your happy with it you can weld all the way round then fill to smoth finish , seen it done with arches new one pushed undernieth and welded in then filled cant see where the seem is.
