I think the majority of us are camping, although I know Ollie is driving up on the Sunday. Think he is planning on getting there about 8ish, and we will all be planning for some time around then. But if you working till early morning I should get there as late as you can. The tickets should tell you the last time for entries to the stands.

Came across this site that makes new carpets for loads of cars. Various colours etc.
Am thinking about getting a custom one made for the cossy cab so its not a bodge of sierra carpets that leave gaps in places.
Did think about buying the carpet and putting it together myself. But I think the combination of sewing machine and having no idea what i'm doing would end up bad.

I think these are similar to the ones advertised on ebay for Mk3/Mk4 escorts. I was going to ring them and see if the ones they do are moulded.

I've spoken to the guy who does the vin plates and he is happy for me to give out his details so that you can order some should you want to. He is a very helpful guy and does this as his hobby, so i thought I ought to mention this so you don't give him undue pressure! ha! He also works nights so the best time to contact him is after about 8ish.

I have asked if the club logo can be done and have a sent a piccy of it. So I will let you know if this can be done.

Looks like a nice show John, unfortunately it clashes with the Battlebridge show which is a shame. I assume its always going to clash with the Battlebridge show each year or do they vary the dates? We had a good day as well, and the weather was great.

Right I spoke to the camp site today and told them there would be the 7 tents and 8-10 cars for the following:
Steve 1 tent
Gaving 1 tent
Mick 1 tent
Avril 1 tent
Petey 1 tent
Petey mate1 1 tent
Petey mate2 1 tent
Thery are aware that we will pay on the day. When you get there please say you are with the cabriolet club and they will put us by the lake.
They are also aware there are a number of others already paid for Matt (Feeble), and they are happy you can camp with us. So just make sure that if you want to be near that you say you want to be with the Cabriole club as well.

Can you let me know if you and the others have already paid or if you want me to add you and the others to the list? I will need to know how many tents and cars though. If you have already paid then I can make them aware you want to be near us if you let me know. However there isn't any electric there so if Colin is bringing his camper again he may want to be by an electric hook up. You'll need to let me know.

Well I rang the camp site today and they have agreed we can pay cash (must be cash though not cheques) on the gate on Saturday if we all want to camp together in a spot by the lake. So the cost is £12-15 per tent with upto 3 people and one car. If your interested in camping together then I will need to know how many tents and people by Monday so I can definitely let the camp site know, and this needs to be definites....so if your unsure please don't add your name. Also for info you will be able to get onto the camp site from 10am on the saturday.
Alternatively you can book and pay on line directly with the camp site.
So the definites I think we have so far are:
1 tent - Steve + 2
1 tent - Gavin + 1
1 tent Petey
1 tent Mick
1 tent Avril
1 tent Petey's Friend1 (petey I need to know if these are definites and that they haven't yet booked themselves)
1 tent Petey's Friend2 (petey I need to know if these are definites and that they haven't yet booked themselves)
1 tent Leanne (petey I need to know if Leanne is a definite and that she hasn't yet booked herself)

A lot of people have asked how to get these vin plates done. The guy who does them does it as a hobby and I need to make sure he's happy for me to just give his details out as he will probably be inundated with requests as you can imagine. Also it took me a while to track him down as he works nights and isn't the easiest person to get hold of.
Paul also suggested that he contacts him on behalf of the club and does some sort of deal with him for the club and then everyones orders can be accommodated. So I will do my best to get hold of him in the next couple of days and sort something out. I will keep you posted. They cost me £40 for the pair.

Great to see the piccies of your cabby. Apart from the roof, the body work looks in really good condition. It will be nice to see the progress as you restore her. Oh and post a piccy when you fit the headlights! ha!. I'm glad they have gone to a good home!

Dennis I just sent the guy the details and he receated the vin plate as a standard match. He can do other logo ones which are slightly different, where the logo is down the side of the vin plate if you like. The colour plate you can then have with whatever you want really. I think my mate next door had the RS turbo logo on his.
I'll post some other examples that he sent me when i get a min.
