  1. Yes mate the doors will fit but to use the mk4 door cards you need to change and move the inner door operating handles
  2. Hi guys love the more door should look good with the wheels any way why dont you buy a stud conversion kit then you can use any standard alloy wheel nuts from mondeo/sierra/ mk5/6 escort we have used them loads and not had any problems
  3. Hi there has any one tried a old sock full of cat litter just leave it on the dash and change it when i gets damp it works on mine as it absorbes the moisture in the air
  4. bumper paint does a good job on them and is hard wearing
  5. Hi mate yes mk3's do have the pink relay under the dash same as mk 4's do my wife has a mk3 tin top 3i and its got one
  6. Hi mate fuel pump relay is under the dash near the steering column its the pink one you want
  7. Hi mate have you got all the wires on the battery ie the normal leads and the small wire on the +treminal as well
  8. ok mate i know what ford are like but we have no option i know a bit about these and have played with a few and cant find away round the immobiliser as it is built into the ecu and the external feeds aint 12 volt
  9. Hi mate the immobiliser stops the fuel pump and the spark /ignition the engine will still turn over the immobiliser is built into the ecu that is what makes me think that you must have chipped keys have had this problem be for on a late mk5a as near the model change to mk6 some did have the pats system fitted to them Near the ecu in the passenger footwell the is a test plug try a code reader of get a ford dealer to see what fault shows up the one i know about had a faulty key reader on the ignition lock this was replaced and the codes rest by ford and it was ok as for removing the immobiliser ask ford or a ecu specialist hope this is of some help to you
  10. Hi mate just a thought the inertia switch in the drivers side foot well behind the kick panel has not tripped off has it know this to happen on mk5's though slamming the door shut worth checking
  11. Hi mate has it got the pats imobillizer fitted with the chipped keys if it is it sounds like it has got imobillizer failure as this stops the fuel pump and spark
  12. Hi your car has not got pats fitted you mentioned pats with your engine take it its from a mk6 or mk2 mondeo you can put it in your car using your loom and other parts and it will run you need the none pats type early 1.8 ecu to get the most from it
  13. The pats system is a pain me and my son did one on his mk4 escort van finished up converting the escort mk6 loom to fit it now runs using all the mk6 injection /ignition system and it goes like stink still has working pats alarm/imobiliser as well you need the loom including the the keys/key reader from the ignition switch and dash clock as the pats needs to see the led it has built in it Or you can fit the engine in your car using your loom and bits it will run but you will need a early none pats ecu to get the correct power from it

    Hi All

Hi mate find the alarm horn and disconnect it the alarm will still go off but it wont make a noise this will get you out of trouble till you can get it looked at
  15. Hi mate done several conversons using the mondeo 2.0 engine you need to change the sump and oil pick up pipe for the escort one also the water pump as the mondeo pump works bacwards as well as the mounts exhaust manifold and down pipe put it in plug it in change the ecu and away you go but make sure you use the mk1 mondeo none pats parts
