  1. Congrats on your new MOT, mate. And you managed it without this fitted too:
  2. And now the upper half of his rear seats: Guess I'd better make a start on his fronts sometime soon, eh.....
  3. Much appreciated, guys - thank you. I honestly wouldn't have thought, just by looking at them, that Cabby rear seats were as bloody fiddly as they are...! The end result's worthwhile though....
  4. So, John takes huge advantage of the "mate's rates" scenario and asks me to retrim his '90 spec Recaro interior for his blue cabby in dark grey leather with dark grey topstitching. Because I'm such a good friend to the little fella, he gets Andrew Muirhead leather for his seats, which is exactly what you would find on your First Class seat on British Airways! He's a lucky lucky man...!! Anyway, I've started his rear seats first - here's the finished seat base: All systems go now!!
  5. Sadly, it is. Quite a time-consuming process, to be honest. Looks the part when it's finished though!
  6. The short one speaks the truth here - he and I have virtually lived on Parmos at times. Despite the small fact that each one is around 2,000 calories!!
  7. You're looking around the £120 mark to retrim a wheel completely. Thanks. Whatever you sent me this afternoon is incompatible with my phone, matey. I'm no closer to tracking the wheel's owner down yet. And have you even got the readies for your seats yet...??
  8. Ok, so John passed me an RS steering wheel to be restitched (not retrimmed). I even spoke to the owner on the phone! Who'd like to pay me for the work now it's finished...? Original leather used, as discussed. Restitched in white. Could the owner of this wheel (Gav, I believe?) drop me a PM please. Si.
  9. As always, you (and Terry!) cook a mean BBQ, mate. It was nice to meet a few people last night (even as a lowly Jap car owner) and to see a couple of engines that were simply too shiny for their own good!!
  10. You didn't mention the BBQ aspect when I spoke to you this morning, mate...! You know I'm always up for a spot of BBQ'ing round your gaff.
  11. I'll keep schtum if you do...!
  12. Thank you. Hopefully the work will take off a little bit once this year's show season finishes.
  13. Given that I've recently signed up as a trader on here, I thought I'd share some pictures of a recently completed interior. Yes, it's a Toyota Celica but I still think it's worth a look... It's such a gorgeous colour!
  14. Things like this really boil my piss - we should just be able to smash their teeth clean out of their heads without any fear of legal repercussions! I do have a CD head unit sat here that's doing nothing if you're interested though...? JVC KD-S641. 4x45W. Face off job. I never had any issues with it but I changed it for a Clarion because the display matched the dial illumination! £15 plus something for postage? Let me know. And I hope you get the car sorted fairly painlessly...
  15. I thought it was about time that I reintroduced myself properly now that everything is 100% up and running. My name's Si and I run Hide'N'Seat Auto Interiors - some of you may remember an earlier thread regarding leather retrims... well, this is the official thread now! In a nutshell, I offer everything from simple gear gaiters to complete interior retrims. Whilst currently gaining a very good within the Jap scene, my very first job was on a pair of S2 RS Turbo Recaro seats so the Ford boys (and girls) seemed like a natural progression. I'm based in County Durham in the North East. The main business website can be found at http://www.hidenseat.co.uk and there is also a Facebook business page that can be found here. There are plenty of progress pictures available, especially on Facebook, as well as all the completed and fitted images. As a very active member of Celica Club UK, there is a Trader section on there containing plenty of positive feedback for anyone wishing to double-check my credentials, as it were (click here). Also, John on this very forum (from Middlesbrough, Mk4 All White) has known me for more years than he'll care to admit to, so he can not only verify me as a genuine trader but he can also attest to the workmanship involved too. Below is a guide price list. For a definite quotation, I'd recommend contacting me either by PM on here or by emailing enquiries@hidenseat.co.uk. Gear gaiters from £7.00 Armrest covers from £12.00 Doorcards from £40.00 2 x front seats from £400.00 Rear seats from £325.00 All seats from £725.00 Dashboards from £500.00 Complete interior trimming from £1600.00 Mail order can easily be accommodated for anyone who may not be local and anything I post is either dispatched by courier or by Royal Mail First Class Recorded. And here are some pictures of some of my commissions: Toyota Celica with RS Turbo front Recaro seats. Toyota Celica Convertible (ivory leather). Toyota Celica Convertible (black / white leather). Thanks for looking.
  16. Ok, there's been some revisions to the price list now: Full interior (front/rear seats, door cards) - £825 Front seats - £420 Rear seats - £350 Door cards - £50 Gaiter packages - from £15 delivered Specials such as dashboards, centre consoles, etc - £POA. Feel free to email or drop me a PM for any further information, or see the Facbook page here. Cheers!
  17. Just a quick update to say that Hide'N'Seat Interiors is now fully open for business! Happy new year, everyone!!
  18. Update time: the fronts are now completely finished, fitted and wired in. And I love having a nice warm arse on these bitter winter mornings! Now on with the rest of the work that still needs doing...!
  19. Can I just take this opportunity to say that fully heated leather Recaros feel fantastic (even if they're just sat next to the car)...!!
