spent 9 hours sorting one of its bigger issues today! after fooking about endlessly with the roof, came to the conclusion that the frame suddenly became bent?!?! so stripped the outer skin off it, removed it, fitted a buggered vinyl one, stripped that and then skinned it with my mohair! with yet another frame for refrance lol. even snapped a bolt in the new frame that had to drilled out. was a right mission, but its sorted! two frames for the skip now! so a few random pics.

its a solid car, unfortunatly these cars are still worth more in parts than complete. too many timewasters when selling cars too. got loads of relays mate, so will have one, whats the proper location of it, and whats it for?

i took a look at my relay today as i know its not a ford one, its a lucas, but actually says on it fuel pump relay.

everything electrical seems to be working too, dials etc, i dont need any set backs lol

so today was the day i turned the key to see what happend lol but first off a few other pics, my uncle repaired the pump cradel base, powder coated just that part and made new rubber bushes for it i fitted it at 11 at night minus one outside lol, fitted a rivnut to secure it properly yes i know its dirty under there after sorting that job i hadnt touched it for ages, in my spare time that i normally work on it ive had to spend working on my trusy vaux fixing a few issues its been giving me so the escort took a back seat so then today i started it up!! battery quite fooked but after using jump leads it didint take too long for it to spurt into life, it tapped its tits off lol, but eventually got more quiet, started twice ok, then battery dead, so not sure if its charging or the batt is just toast. idles ever so silghtly just a bit too high in my opinion, but other than that all seems well! need to try and get it near finished in a couple of weeks

a relay is a relay in my opinion, ive got a non genuine fitted to mine at the mo but may change it concidering ive got a few gen ones inc new i did recently hear a few people say only to use a genuine one, i dont see why though?

yeah jon its a brand new one, no way was i putting a manky yellow one on! if your looking to buy one be aware there are two diffrent ones for the mfi, and one wont fit the inner wing. yeah ian should be mate, hope to finish it next month or so, ive got a week off in feb so will get a few days on it then, depending on how it goes in feb il be buying me ticket

cheers everyone my besty steve sortred the remote locking yesterday, happy days, so now i can fit the door cards and all the trim, sill covers etc just giving the winders a tidy up today in my lunch break at work lol, ready for a dash of black!
