  1. Ive now done a whopping 108 miles in it! only issues i seem to have are the rear brakes are sometimes a bit sticky, and sometimes decides to smoke a bit! Attended classic ford show on sunday, so thought i may as well chuck some pics up!
  2. Must remember to ask the wife later!
  3. Hi again mate, pretty normal on them to give it a bit of throttle when starting, if it does start without they normally need a little tap of it to get it up to speed anyway
  4. Leaving mine at 7, it's about 30 mins from me so hopefully be in the show ground by 8, save me a decent space !!
  5. Sounds like the regulator in the alternator is nackerd, allowing it to over charge, it will bugger your battery if you leave it like it too long too.
  6. Ian, what time you planning on getting there on Sunday?
  7. are you using the correct clocks for EFI? MFI are diffrent. relay for the heated front screen is the big grey one under the drivers side dash
  8. be good to see some pics mate, whts your plans for it?
  9. few more pics of it excuse my ugly mug
  10. You can get new tanks from euro car parts for around 50 quid, more than worth it!
  11. Had the tracking sorted on it today, Gave her a bit of a drive! Also got a new set of clocks and swapped the Rev counter over, and fixed the battery warning light, and adjusted the cambelt tensioner! So far so good!
  12. I'd lightly sand the surfaces of the banjo, use new washers, and it's supposed to be done up proper tight.
  13. This morning was MOT time! She passed! i was very nervous going out in it, but it actually drove amazing, so quiet and smooth, she cruised along nicely. bellowed out clouds of smoke to start with for a couple of miles, then cleared and didnt smoke at all after, i knew it needed a good run. It got more than a fair amout of attention at the MOT place, someone even asked about buying it lol. Got to get the tracking done and swap the rev counter on it. Also leaks from the driveshaft oil seal, i did replace them but one obviously hasnt seated correctly, il just leave it like that for the time being! Few pics
  14. I hope the cabriolets never become too valuable, just makes them more attractive to thieves. I'm not bothered if mines worth 1k or 10k. Just sold a more door mk4 for 1250 so prices are definitely on the rise.
  15. Yeah I am proud of it, it's not perfect and never will be but with my skills, budget, and time, it's the best I can get it, and I'm happy with it. I'm looking forward to spending some time with it with my son, that's what I'm looking forward to the most!
  16. Cheers mate, glad you like it! I'm happy it's done and she can see the road again!
  17. she is currently "done", few odd small bits to do but when will there not lol. MOT booked, insurance soreted, almost there!
