You can get acsess from under the front of the car if its on ramps or axel stands, might need a snake drive, I had my front bumper off at the time when I did mine as I was putting a new one on, theres a smal splash guard under them that can be bent out of the way to gain accses !!!

Clear Rear Lights Dim Mk4

Check the bulb holder bulb for corrosion, that can effect the brightness, bit of a rub with wire wool will sort that, new bulbs if that fails !!! -
Cool, nice one Sir.Tony, knew I could count on you !!! :icon_salut_gb: No shocks listed under Cabriolet but I have been told by my Mate who is in the Motorfactor trade that normal TinTop ones fit the same, probably go for GTi then !!! Been Quoted £235 for non-FORD Gas shocks and springs posted, not bad I guess but i'll keep looking !!! Any more comments or suggestions Welcome !!!

Hi Peeps !!! :big_wave: I need to replace all 4 Shocks and Springs on my Mk6 as its a bouncy castle on wheels lol !!! Plus its rubbing on them when I go arround corners at SLOW speeds !!! :wow: I can't lower the car with performance Shocks as I have a big set of alloys on the car but the ride hight is spot on, it looks lowerd with standard equipment so back to standard I go !!! The few things I need to know is what exactly do I go for, I have seen many different Shocks but whats the difference between Gas and Oil Suspention ??? Also which struts can I fit as I see theres Suspension for the Saloon, Van and Estate, I know the Van rears are not going to go on but i'm just confussed.com lol !!! I have spoted a set of GTi Struts and I thought they might be the way to go as they are probably more for handling, but I might be wrong !!! Please let me know your thoughts on what ones to get, brands and where to get them and what set ups you went for !!!

A Haynes manual or a Service Disc, usualy find most on ebay, could try a Focus Forum too !!!
-
I had this on my Mk5 and I was going to get it sorted but my plan of action was to source a second hand seal of a Mk6, its newer for a start, then get a body shop to fix the rust, its a similar repair to a rusty arch, they will cut out the rot and weld in a replacement section, either fabricated in the shop or cut out of an appropriate setion, posibly a wing lol !!! If the car has a few rot spots on it then get them all sorted with a re-spray, white is cheap, go to a van spray specialist as they will be cheaper and have FORD white in stock with it being TRANSIT colour too !!!
-
SteelCabby might help you there !!!

The door cars on my old Corsa were a realy rank Grey colour with a Rainbow Coloured pattern, I just sprayed it with black generic spray, looked 100 times better and did not rub off, you should not have a problem spraying your inserts mate !!! Don't forget to take some pics when you do it, should look the dogs !!! :icon_salut_gb:

Twin Carbs will get you 150 !!! Injected Throttle Bodies will get you 190 !!! :wow:

As Benny said mate, looks a lot of work but just think of the fun you will have doing it, most of the panels are easy to get hold of, had at least 12 Members fix up Cabs in this condition this year so chin up mate and keep cracking on, plus remember that this is a rare colour too !!!
-
Looked into this a couple of months ago mate, Injected Throttle Bodys should take you to 190 BHP !!! :wow: You sure you have the 115 BHP engine, looks like the 130 one to me !!!
-
Fisrt things first, sort the leak out, once you have done this source another Carpet, a Mk4 tin-top one can be made to fit but is probably the same, as for underlay, use, well, underlay for household carpets !!!
