Fantastic Restoration work mate, I realy enjoyed going through this thread and looking at all the hard work that has been done, what a mint Cab you have now, looks brand new, reminds me of Member No:1's Cab !!! When you get a HID kit go for the mechanicaly operatated Bi-Xenon kit !!!

Sounds like one of the wires you disconected is earthing somwhere, put it back together and get a new horn button as it sounds like its faulty !!!

Sounds like the Cog has gone in your motor mate, if you can here it but the roof does not move then thats usualy the culprit along with needing a top up of hydrolic fluid !!! We sell the repair kit in the Club Shop !!!

Bit if a silly comment to make !!! Just put a 130 Spec 1.8 ZETEC in the Cab !!!

Failing the above mate check the fuse and bulbs, if it still does not work it is probably the relay, it looks like this !!! :icon_salut_gb:

They are very rattly at times mate, I have the softest suspension in the Club on a Mk6, FACT !!! This is due to it needing replacing lol !!! I am thinking of upgrading to GTi Suspention as this should give it a better ride but for drivability mate your best going stndard, MarkyBoy recently took off his springs IIRC as the ride was rough !!! The Pleasures of a Mk6 lol !!!

IIRC, EnzO got the connecting loom for the screen from the scrappy, not sure if it was tucked under the dash, send him a PM !!! As for the insurance, he just said it was a heated screen as they were an optional extra accross the range but standard on higher spec models !!!

Hi Mate !!! You can get a repair kit in most Motorfactors to do the job, the eliments get breaks in them when its been caught by somthing, its quite pricey but worth it, here is one on ebay if you can't find on, my Mate also sells it in his shop, I will get you a price if you like, its easy to use, the hard part is finding the break in the eliment lol !!! ebay LINK: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rear-Window-Demister...A1%7C240%3A1318

Not at all mate, EnzO fitted one to his !!! He accidentaly 'Threw' a Hammer at his windscreen and the Insurance had to pay for a new one lol !!! :happy001: All he had to do was get the Duel Front and Rear Heated Window Switch, the conecting loom, and a relay, try a scrappy, ebay or even FORD for the parts, you might need a higher spec Fusebox but if the Cable for the Switch is there you might already have one !!!

Stu, since theres not much coming in on Mk4 instals I can sort you pics of my Mk5 Setup and the one in my ROVER for ideas if you like ??? Chat to you about it at the meet tomorrow !!!
