laserline 996 cat 1 help

i have just bought a escort cab mk 5 and its got a cat 1 laserline alarm and imo, not got any instructions with it,its like hens teeth 2 try and get any info from any dealership,my prob is that evry night the alarm decides 2 go into disco mode,never dose it through the day always at night,i have kicked the car banged the bonnet and it dosnt go off,can any one help me with this or has someone had the same prob,it drivin me nut`s.... :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown:

Hi mate,

 

Hope this help's.

 

Depending on how old it is depends on which buttons you press, turn off alarm and watch the L.E.D if it still flashes count the flashes.

 

If it doesn't flash you need to press the two button's on the fob at the same time, the two opposite each other.

 

If L.E.D off it thinks it's ok.

1 to 10 flashes there's a problem

 

Either post here or pm me and i'll tell what it is as i'd be typing it out all night.

thanks m8,i will give it a go but im thinkin about takin it out and gettin just a imobiliser fitted, disconected the internal sensors to c if that would help but still doing the same,got 2 the stage now that it making the battery go flat,i have taken the plug out of the siren but lights still flash, :bowdown: :bowdown:

Don't rush and rip it out, check the l.e.d's because for instance 9 flashes just means the remote control is nearly flat and needs changing.

 

If this was the case about £1.00 for battery or £100 for new imoboliser.

hi m8,looked at it this morning about 3am and the led was flashing once,dose that mean anything 2 u..

one flash means voltage drop sensor, but check out that site mentioned in the other post. any problems come back to me.

glad to hear it and thats what we are all here for

 

can i ask what anyones opinion of laserline alarms are?

 

i cant get the clifford 650 i bought fitted, and ive found a local guy who will fit a Laserline 290i2 for 185 notes.

 

btw, glad you got yours sorted kriscab.
