Guest Keith
A lot of the time the number plate rattles, stick it on with double sided tape.
iansoutham
Is the sub box touching the brace at the front of the boot area that the back seat locks onto? If so, try putting some padding between the box and the frame. I've done that as when my one was touching it, all you got was vibrations and rattling as it vibrated thoughout the car. Moved it away slightly and has been fine ever since.....
Guest Pearldiamond
I had the same problem in my mk5 cab. My quarters used to rattle. I dynomatted the whole boot area and the sound quality was better, good luck and i hope this helps ian

Guest danelliott
Do any of you have the problem where the bottom of the spare wheel well rattles? i get the usual number plate rattle but the underside of the car around the spare wheel well is double skinned and it rattles like a good un. lol Also while we are on the subject does n e 1 know if its possible to cut a ring out of the spare wheel well from the sides all the way round so hat i may re weld the bottom back on so the spare wheel well isnt so deep? reason i ask is because i want a custom exhaust and they said they cant cos the spaer wheel well is in the way plus it may help reduce the rattle when im pumping out my tunes
f40 cab
when i installed my subs my spare wheel bay did the same mate so put dynamat inside it, no more does it rattle! as for cuting and welding it take it out totally, thats whats happening to mine next year as ive got 18" alloys and the spare wont fit in so wasted space and getting modified exaust done anyway. if you cut it anyway and make it smaller will your spare fit in anyway? might as well take it out.
