these minor mods may appeal to some

replace roof light with one from escort, sierra, granny ghia. this light has 2 map reading light built in and is a direct replacement for the basic cab one.

fit a 20 second delay relay which again can be aquired from the above cars and is a plug and play item, after first removing the link in the fuse box.

fitment of footwell lights which are the same lights as found in the boot of above cars. remove from vehicle with a couple of inches of wire on bulb holder and connect both light up so that they reach from one side to the other of your car and leave a length of lead to make connections to fuse box. the d/side light fitting is already there in the lower dash panel and if you cant get a pukka escort n/side bracket you can make one fron a piece of platic. i.e. footwell kick panel. to connect up lower fusebox down and near the front left hand side where relays are plugged in you will find a small plug with 3 wires in it (red, brown, and brown with red stripe) connect one your wires to the red wire and the other to brown/red stripe. the footwell lights will now work when you open door and if you have the delay relay fitted will stay on for 20secs after closing door or go off as you switch ign. on

hope this helps someone and if you need anymore help shout

very nice and cheep mod

and very practical at night nice one alan

ta tony. i also fitted a LIGHTS ON BUZZER which came from a sierra, but used a "normally open contact" relay so that it doesn,t sound with the ignition on. all these parts came free as the guy was breaking a sierra ghia and only wanted the diff and shafts for a trike
