Guest Zanhar25
Unfortunately my newly acquired escort Cabriolet roof is not working at all, when I agreed to buy the car I was told that the roof went down but won't go up but you could hear the pump. But today when I tried it it doesn't seem to work at all. I tried position 1 etc as I read on here to no avail. Wher are the fuses found for the roof? Does any one have a proper wiring diagram for the roof circuit? Any advise greatly recieved. Thank you. Calypso Cab
on my mk6 there is a 20 amp (yellow) fuse in the boot, in space between the outer wing, and the side of the boot space on the left of the boot in the same area as the Electric Aerial (same side as roof pump)

Guest Zanhar25
Thanks for you suggestions, since this post I now have a working roof. The fault was a faulty 15A circuit breaker and the pump also needed topping up. It's been ok since but I do wonder where the oil went but I'll keep monitoring the levell
Guest Zanhar25
Update, last week roof wouldn't shut fully, oil low again. Investigated further and discovered the "o" ring on the pump (motor side) was weeping. Replaced o ring now all OK again.
