Guest the stigs dad Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 hi all, im the owner of a 1995 ford escort 18.zetec si cabriolet, which i purchased last year to get ready for thissumme.r so all winter long its started perfectly. until last week or maybe the week before got classic car in urance and same day booked it for its mot the nxt day anyway the mot day arrived went to start car to warm it up but turned it off and nipped in the house. came out to start nothing happened except all lights dsahlights radio all work no power to the starter so had starter checked works perfect so im all out of ideas anyone help please . Guest the stigs dad Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 Hi al,,l auto electrician arrived yesterday .according to form they are know for dodgy fuseboxes. he went to it found someone had bodged fitting an alarm in at the fuse box he then rewired the ignition wires at the fusebox back to factory wiring and hey presto it started but now running like crap on idle sounds like it is missing or running lumpy i wonder if iv knocked something off when i replaced the starrter motor, prior to everything the engine ran smooth Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
