Stereo Wiring

wondered if someone could help me with a stereo wiring issue I've got.

i fitted a new aerial today on the assumption that the motor on the original ford one had seized up or worn out.

the new one doesnt extend either so i investigated the wiring on the head unit. I should mention that the aerial itself works (as in picks up a signal), its the power extending and retracting that doesnt.

the wires from the car dont go into any adaptor as such, they are just joined with connectors to the wires coming from the harness.

looking at the wiring coming from the car i have the following (and have noted my understanding of what each wire is for):

brown - earth

red/white - antenna

grey yellow - illumination

yellow = ignition, switched live

red - constant live

only the red and brown wires from the car actually connect to wires coming from the head unit .

The wires from the harness (pioneer if that makes a difference) are:

Black - this is connected to the brown wire from the car

Red (has a tag marked ACC) - this is connected to the red wire from the car

Yellow (marked BATTERY) - this is also connected to the red wire from the car

Yellow and Black (marked MUTE) - not connected to anything

Blue and White (marked REMOTE) - not connected to anything

So my questions are:

1 - are the wires that are already connected, all connected correctly?

2 - presumably the red and white wire from the car needs to go into the harness somewhere in order for the power aerial to work. which one should it connect to?

3 - should the yellow wire from the car go somewhere?

4 - the aerial had two wires attached to it, one red and one black and grey(or white). where do these lead to? one to the battery and one to the headunit?

be grateful for any help. thanks!
