maido
Possibly starter motor getting hot common fault try a new starter and heat wrap it Edited October 13, 2012 by maido
Vincygav
Also check the wiring from the starter motor to the ignition via the battery, heat soak problem can create a high resistance.
Guest Mk4 Kenilworth
Could also be the battery? Similar thing happens to mine cos the battery's knackered and when it's hot the fan doesn't leave enough power to start the engine I've disconnected the fan switch and started it that way a few times. Guest El87cabi
Had the same thing with my old mfi, my advice, buy a new dizzy. While your fiddling with bits like that check to see if you can hear the fuel pump priming the engine with the key in position 2, if theres no buzzing and the car take a few cranks to get going you need a new fuel pump relay too
