Guest MarkMac
Afternoon all, i dont own a cab [yet?] ive had conflicting responses to this answer, but im wondering if i can fit a child seat in the rear of a cabriolet? i didnt think they had the inertia rear seatbelts i would need to fit a seat in? but someone i know tells me different? need to know for sure because that will decide if im going soft or tin top! cheers mark

Guest shaun
you can still use the lap belt on car seat ...but its your choice.....buy a cabbie for you and hard top for the misses lol.....other than that buy a nice mk6 for same money as mk4

Guest dancabs
I used to fit 1 in my mk 4. If it is a graco chair u can buy a base that stays in your car and the seat just clips into. this way a lap belt is fine.
Guest dancabs
If u do this just make sure the belt is tight and the base doesn't move... hope all this helps!

Am happy enough with the lap belt plus no moaning the neck is rubbing on the belt :s kids hey cheers for the reply, so the car seats are nice and stable with just the lower lap belt? thought it might be 'rocky' if you know what i mean, tbh i just assumed you had to use both belts when fitting them, cheers again hi we used to have a seat from kwik fit dare i say it. it had straps that bolted down on the seatbelt mountings which then hooked on to either side of the car seat it wasnt going anywhere. hop this helps x Thanks at least i can try and pursuade to my mrs there is a 'safe' way of doing it cheers Mark Edited September 20, 2012 by MarkMac
