Guest sakuv Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 I've just bought a 1997 Escort and the roof does not work, when the switch ispressed so relays yes "rattle" or work? pump is running when you tried itdirectly from the battery, but not in the car closed. Guest moongem288 Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) When I got my 1997 escort my roof didnt work atall I checked all the fuses attached to the hydrolic pump in the boot and found a thermostat fuse that comes off what looks like the green/yellow earth wire was the problem I gave it a shake and heard the rattle.
