Guest Lee81
Its not too involved. Though setting them up has to be done by a pro as you need a fair bit of old skool equipement to make sure the carbs are flowing and fueling equally. The linkages are notoriously expensive and difficult to set. If there second hand they will need jetting to suit the engine also. Engines with these fitted can attain around 140bhp. Can acheive more with other mods Its not too involved but can be very expensive when you add up the costs. A zetec transplant is the best and cheapest option or rs turbo engine swap which will give more power
ianxr3i
Back in the 80's when I had my XR3, I changed the twin choke webber to twin 45's. It was a simple conversion. As lee has said the linkage & manifold can be expensive, I got mine from Burtons power products, This is the manifold for 40's http://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-fitment-type/parts-by-engine-ford/ford-cvh/im4246a.html This is the manifold for 45'shttp://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-fitment-type/parts-by-engine-ford/ford-cvh/im4246b.html I am not into changing to a zetec or RS turbo. That is my personal choice
