Guest Ed Watkins
I will lurk on this one please. We have just bought our first Escort cabriolet and no-one in the entire folding roof world seems to know what fluid to use, where to get it, how to put the stuff in or bleed the system, so any offers of advice would be good. The pump appears to be empty though, so I guess that is the source of the problem.
allblue
Hi, I got my fluid from a vw dealer. Fluid number part G002 000 or G004 (as it may have been superseeded). £8 for 1 litre. On the top of the pump is a hex bolt. Remove this and you then need to use a funnel of similar to get the fluid in. Haynes manual gives good advice on how to bleed the system. Hope this helps.
