hi guys

whats the biggest size wheels i can get on my mk6 cabrio without modifying the arches or anything obv can fit spacers if needed

nahh its all standard only picked it up other day "back into cabbys" was a bargain couldnt let it go just wanna do some subtle upgrades to make it look better but easy enough to return to standard without any expense and little time as gonna keep original alloys in shed for spares might throw some track rubber on em for them fun days out

16" i would go for 15" do look a little small as i got 15" on mine

as gingergman said 17" do make a harder ride but look better and no mods needed to fit

also the bottom arm's wear so 17"s might make it worse

so whats the best offset so i dont need spacers if i was to put either 16s or 17s on my mk6 as i think im gonna buy new seems be loads of deals for alloys with rubber going round at minute

If it rubs enough you can damage the paint on the arch as much as the tyre. Tyres are easy to replace, arches not so much.

 

Ours is a Mk3 and thanks.

got 17" rs diamond cut rims on my mk3 with 205,40,17 tyres and rubs a tiny bit on full lock back seems ok but not had rear passengers yet, and also had these rims on the mk5 no rubbing and no probss, oh think these r 7j or 7.5 cant remember.
