Guest avul
hi gavin even tho u ave 1984 next 2 ur name i take it ur car is not a mk3? but in fact a mk5 or 6? u say wishbone tracker end? but i think u mean front wishbone outer ball joint? if thats wat u replaced i'm affraid u wasted the money on those ball joint's & u should of just got the complete front wishbone as these r a really commen prob wiv the mk5-on escort's & also the mondeo! wat always goes on these is the rear rubber joint & wen u corner, brake & accellerate the bush flex's & as the rubber start's 2 rip away frm the metal of the bush & get's older wiv time the rust start's 2 get in aswell & it just worsen's! it also get's worse a lot quicker on a lowered car!! as u say it's knockin on pullin off, brakin & cornering i'd say it's def the front rear rubber joint's on both front wishbone's & the garage that tracked ur car should of noticed them really, thats if u took it 2 a gd garage??? if it's killed the front tyre's that quick i wouldn't drive it untill u get the front wishbones replaced, u should b able 2 get them front a gd motor factor's 4 bout £20-25 each, if u really wat 2 spand the money u can get a full front repair kit wiv polly bushes but they r expensive!!! hope this help u out? regards mark any other question's just ask m8. Guest avul
so u say that u have replaced both front wishbones but the rubbers r startin 2 rip out, how long ago did u replace them??? if they r cheap 1's u myt only get a yr at best if its a daily driver & dependin on wat the roads r like round ur way pothole's, speedbump's etc. if the wishbones r ok & the trackin is ok, then u may have a bigger prob, has the car bin kurbed? if so the shock/ inner wing or steerin arm could b bent. sorry it took a while bin a bit busy m8, let us know bout wats goin on wiv wat u know & i'l c if i can help ya more regards mark
