Guest JKE
Hi all I have owned my cabby for a couple of months now and am pulling my hair out! I bought it from an auction and have no history. It jerks badly when I drive at constant speed and when the engine is cold the engine races. I have heard this is a common problem with the EFI. The plugs, HT leads and coil pack have been changed and I have tried to source a throttle position sensor to elimate this but it would seem that Ford have discontinued the part. Not sure where to go now with it.....please has anyone any ideas? Jen
ianxr3i
You could try Burton power products - http://www.burtonpower.com They seem to get hold of discontinued ford stock. I have used them for a few parts for my EFi cabriolet

Guest corrie
hi i had this problem with mine when i first got it, and here is what i done, i had the idle speed and mixture set up also i had the fuel pressure regulator set up, in addition to this i used some air intake cleaner sprayed into the throttle housing as these engines have a tendency to coke up badly. mine now runs absolutely spot on now. you can be constantly trying to chase these faults by changing lots of different parts without remedy. i also reset the ecu and taught it how to drive properly to my driving style. if you want anymore info just inbox me.
